About Capital Reef National Park: Captial Reef National park is largely defined by a 100-mile stretch of buckled earth called the Waterpocket Fold. Named for a line of white Navajo Sandstone domes and cliffs that resemble the United States Capitol building, the park is a wonderland of crimson monoliths, arches, spires and slot canyons including The Upper Muley Twist, a meandering canyon of stunning natural bridges and arches.
