About Zion National Park:
Zion National Park’s 229 square miles play host to a spectacular array of sandstone cliffs that rise over 2,000 feet and a vast labyrinth of narrow canyons cut away by the Virgin River. The park’s location at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and the Mojave Desert gives Zion a multitude of wildlife and differing geographical areas. Landmarks abound here including Angel’s Landing, Checkerboard Mesa and the Great White Throne, the Pulpit Emerald Lake, Double Arch Alcove and many others.
